Sliding Scale & Interns

Our non-licensed therapists have limited slots in their caseload dedicated to working with folks on a sliding scale based on income. Since the expertise of our therapists varies from therapist to therapist, the sliding scales are different. Should you have any questions regarding where you would land on the sliding scale for a specific therapist, please email intake@datgrp.com with your proof of income, and we can get you a quote.

We also have a clinical internship program through Stevenson Therapy Services. These counselors/therapists are in the clinical phase of their Masters programs in counseling or marriage & family therapy. They are supervised by licensed clinicians who oversee the cases and provide direct feedback to ensure quality care. These counselors/therapists have a lower rate and will always work on a sliding scale.

Payments

We will collect all payments through your Simple Practice portal. When you first become a client of Stevenson Therapy Services, you will receive access to this portal. You will be asked to add a credit card to the system. Your therapist will charge your credit card after each session (immediately after or up to one day after). Therapists are responsible for collecting fees for their clients.

Please note: Your bank statement will show “DATG, LLC” or “Stripe” as the collector of your therapy fees. Please get in touch with your therapist if you do not recognize the name on your bank statement. Disputing fees will result in a disputing fee on our end.

Insurance

Our therapists are able to choose which insurance companies they would like to work with; as you will notice, each of our therapists takes varying insurances. Each therapist allows a certain percentage of their caseload to the insurance-based clientele. We often have a waitlist for working in network with our therapists.

If you are an insurance client, please know:

  • We have therapists that accept Medicaid

  • We will be requesting your insurance information at the time of intake

  • You are responsible for knowing your co-pay & deductible (although we will look it up on our end, sometimes the information is not clear, and we will not know the actual cost of your appointment until we receive the benefits statement back from your insurance company)

  • To bill your insurance, your therapist must give you a mental health diagnosis, which will become a preexisting condition on your medical record. This may impact your ability to be insured in the first place

  • We have insurance waitlists. As stated, our therapists allot a specific number of slots in their caseload to insurance clients. You may have to wait up to 2-4 months to see one of our therapists. We can get you in immediately if you decide to go out of network or self-pay.

  • Your mental health information belongs to your insurance company. By not using insurance, your mental health information remains confidential and private.
